Description
Comfort is key with the Iris Bralette and Elodie Briefs. Both patterns offer options with elegant lace or sporty mesh while creating core pieces for your underwear drawer.
Iris Bralette:
Designed for stretch knits, the Iris Bralette has modest bust coverage with vertical seamed cups and a sweetheart neckline.
Four front options include the addition of a bust sling in lace or fabric, and lace cup overlays. Back options include a basic band with no closure, band with back extension and optional lace overlay, and a ballet back with hook and eye closure.
Front of the bralette is fully lined for comfort, with all seams enclosed. Upper edges of the bra can be finished with picot, piping, or fold over elastics.

Skill level:
Intermediate. Attaching the cups to the center front of the cradle requires some careful sewing to get a nice pointed shape. Attaching the lining with enclosed seams requires working with multiple layers of fabric. Bralette uses straight and zigzag stitches. Instructions are fully illustrated, and include links for videos showing the process of attaching the band with the “burrito method”, and attaching the cups to the cradle.
Fabrics & Trims:
This pattern is designed for stretch knits with 30-60% crosswise stretch. Some examples for the cup/cradle fabrics are: scuba, Liverpool, athletic net, glissenette, milliskin, swim nylon/spandex, athletic wicking knits, cotton/spandex jersey. Pattern includes more details about these fabrics, and the differing levels of bust support they provide.
Lining: stretch mesh or self fabric.
Band: powernet or techsheen.
This print-at-home PDF pattern has a fully illustrated 18 page instruction manual, which includes information on printing and assembling the pattern pages (printable on US letter and A4 paper), a size guide, and a stretch guide for measuring the stretch percentage of fabrics. The pattern pages include a layers option to print only the sizes you need.
Elodie Briefs:
The Elodie Briefs are a perfect combination of comfort and feminine details. Basic briefs with a fully enclosed gusset get a sophisticated upgrade with sheer side panels and lace details.
Style options include lace overlays for both narrow and wide stretch lace trim, and side panels using wide stretch lace trim. With a comfortable fit, the mid-length rise and full coverage bottom make the Elodie Briefs an everyday staple for your lingerie drawer.
The gusset is longer in front than typical store-bought panties to provide extra protection and comfort. Can be sewn in a wide variety of knit fabrics, from cotton/spandex jersey, bamboo and rayon blend jerseys, to athletic knits and stretch lace.
Style A: Contrast panels
Style B: Contrast panels and narrow stretch lace trim
Style C: Contrast panels and front lace overlay
